Sally

Sally had been dealing with a range of health challenges that began to affect her mental well-being. Concerns about Sally’s health grew after several slips and falls, along with noticeable changes in her eating habits. This situation prompted her carer to seek additional support.

Sally expressed heartfelt gratitude for the help she received, saying, “I really don’t know what I would do without all your help.” A recent ankle fracture had significantly reduced her mobility and heightened her anxiety, making the support even more essential.

To address her needs, No. 1 Befriending assisted Sally by researching alarm clocks suitable for people with hearing loss and locating affordable hearing aid options—crucial given her financial limitations. The ongoing support from her volunteer proved invaluable during this difficult period.

Sally’s story underscores the critical role community support plays in managing health challenges. Thanks to the dedication of volunteers and community connectors, she was able to preserve her well-being and resilience despite the difficulties she faced.
