Passing the Finish Line of the ‘Go the Distance’ Challenge

After a very busy month of walking, running, cycling and everything else in between we’ve FINISHED the ‘Go The Distance’ challenge!

We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who put in the steps this month. Remember the 100km (or more for some very busy folk) walked this last month represent the 100,000 older adults in Scotland who feel lonely all the time. Everyone who has taken part in the challenge has helped not only to raise money but also to raise awareness for this issue so THANK YOU!

Just as many of you have absolutely smashed past the target of 100km, with your help we have already passed our fundraising target, which is absolutely brilliant! The Virgin Giving donations link will continue to be live until Thursday and any donations would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made at: uk.virginmoneygiving.com or www.befriend.org.uk/donate.

Also, if you have any photos of you completing the 62 miles (or more!) then please feel free to tag us as well as the hashtag #GoTheDistance62 if you’re posting on social media. We’ve loved seeing you all having so much fun completing the challenge.

Now, give your trainers a rest and go put your feet up for a bit! You’ve all earned it!
