Hanging Out at the Volunteer Social

We had a wonderful volunteer social last week, where we were joined by 15 volunteers to celebrate the great achievements of everyone involved with No.1. It really cannot be said enough - Thank You!

After a hard year with Covid, it was especially important to us to take the time to show our volunteers what an impact their friendship-building has had. It gave us such a boost to see so many happy faces and share messages from clients whose lives have been changed for the better.

Well done to Hayley for winning the quiz - the prize is winging its way to you! Joanne had included some tough questions and we were all left a wee bit wiser. Everyone aced the ‘No.1 Befriending’ section though, which we were proud of but not surprised. And thank you to Crawford for leading us in a live music session that had us all singing along - just like it does when he joins our clients for virtual events. We were all gein it laldy and, while everyone was on mute, it will take a long time to get the earworm out of our heads!

We hope that the brilliant memories and photos of the night remind everyone of how much we appreciate their efforts, on Volunteers Week and every other month of the year, regardless of whether or they were able to join us at the social.
